Angela + James - 8/7/09

Last Friday, I had the pleasure of tagging along as a second shooter with Courtney of Blue Dandelion Photography. Angela and James were married on a misty/rainy day at St. James Lutheran Church, in Verona, WI. After the ceremony, the bridal party had some fun in the rain over at Fireman's park before heading off to the reception at The Heights Event Center.

I had a great time working with Courtney and as the following photographs hopefully show, the wedding party was a lot of fun too.

A new film

From time to time, we like to stretch our creative legs and put something out there just for fun. We once again entered the 48 Hour Film Project Madison and completed a short dramatic film over a weekend.

This year we drew Romance as a genre. The common elements that everyone had to use were - Character: John Charles, Energy Consultant - Prop: A bowl - Line of Dialogue: "Please, I beg you".

While we won best film last year, this year it was not to be. We were disqualified from all awards except audience favorite because we only referenced the character of John Charles instead of showing him on screen. A dumb mistake and a lesson learned - even if you think you know all the rules, read them again.

Oh well, we just received word that our film won the Audience Favorite award so the people have spoken that they think it was pretty good, even without old John up on screen.
